The agenda for the April 24 session of the Cedartown Planning Commission can be viewed here.
The Cedartown Public Works Department, comprised of both the Street Department and the Water and Maintenance Department, is responsible for providing many of the basic public services that contribute to the quality of life for the City of Cedartown.
The Cedartown Street Department maintains streets and roadways within the city limits. Our Street Department also maintains local street signs, traffic signals and street lights and oversees capital improvement projects.
The Cedartown Water and Maintenance Department is responsible for upkeep and repair of the city's water lines, water meters and fire hydrants. Our Water and Maintenance Department is also responsible for plumbing repairs and maintenance inside the city's buildings.
Effective May 2014 -- You may notice a change in schedule with your limb, leaves and yard debris pick up. This change will allow for faster and more efficient service.
Three pickup zones have now been consolidated into two. Two trucks will be working together in each zone to deliver quicker service.
We would also like to remind residents that a work order must be placed in order for items like furniture to be picked up. Work orders can be placed by calling 770-748-6977.
Residents with any questions or concerns about the new service schedule can email Kelvin Garmon, Public Works Director, at email@example.com.
The map above shows the two separate zone schedules used by the City's Public Works Department. The red outline indicates the City Limits.
Residents living within the City Limits north of the dividing line can expect pick up Monday through late Wednesday. Residents living in the City Limits south of the dividing line can expect pick up late Wednesday through Friday.
You can click on the individual zones to enlarge the map for better viewing.
Be sure to fill out the email survey at left to let us know what we can improve on.
(**Please note: Our Public Works Department makes every effort to keep the above limb and debris pick-up schedule. However, service times may be delayed due to weather conditions and circumstances beyond our control.)
